Amitabh Panda took over as Managing Director of Tata NYK Shipping Pte. Ltd. in July 2019. With well-founded experience in delivering profitable growth, building new businesses from scratch, restructuring & resuscitation of declining businesses and managing large scale supply-chain operations, he has consistently demonstrated result oriented and value creating leadership attributes in his professional career.
Prior to the current role, Amitabh was Group Director/Group Head (FY 2011-2019) at Tata Steel Group and had successfully built the Global Shipping & Logistic function across all its geographies (India, Europe, USA and South-East Asia). Amitabh also held the position of Managing Director for TS Logistics & Shipping BV (a Tata Steel Europe entity) for 4-years (FY 2011-2015). Preceding to the Group level role, Amitabh was the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) of Tata Steel Ltd. for ~6-years (FY 2005-2010).
Outside Tata Group, Amitabh had worked for ~10-years in Banking & Consulting industry with respected & global organisation like ICICI Bank and FreeMarkets Inc. (later merged with SAP AG-Ariba). Amitabh has been on the global CPO Advisory Board at SAP AG for Supply Chain and Procurement technologies; a core member of the International Coal, Coke & Carbon forum (ICCC); advised Ministry of Shipping, Govt. of India on Coastal Shipping as working group member; and has been Executive Member of trade bodies like CII & FICCI; he has served on the Boards of Eight Tata Steel Group companies since 2005.
Amitabh holds a Bachelor of Engg. Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from BIT Mesra, India. He completed his Post-Graduate Degree in Business Management (MBA) with specialisation in Finance & Marketing from XLRI Jamshedpur, India.

Mr. N S Raghu, Chief Financial Officer at Tata NYK Shipping Pte. Ltd., brings 32 years of extensive experience in finance and accounts across various verticals. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Science from Ranchi University and completed ICWA (Costing) from The Institute of Cost Accountants of India. Mr. Raghu joined Tata Steel in 1991 in the Accounts Division and held increasing responsibilities in the Tubes Division and Mumbai Head Office. He then served as Regional Finance Head for the West region and later as Chief Marketing Finance in the Tata Steel Group Accounting & Financial Consolidation team. He had deputation stints as CFO at M/s TRF Limited and M/s Tata Steel Mining Limited. Before joining Tata NYK, he was handling the role of Chief Financial Controller, Ferro Alloys and Minerals Division, Tata Steel.
